The 2026 Commonwealth Games, officially known as the XXIII Commonwealth Games, will open with its ceremony on July 23, 2026. Hosted in Glasgow, Scotland, the event will take place at the OVO Hydro, marking the first time an opening ceremony for the Games has been staged entirely indoors. Athletes from 74 Commonwealth nations and territories are expected to participate.
